If you haven’t heard by now, then let me be the first to tell you.  The Russians, while needing a cautious eye for cozying up with Hugo Chavez, have dirt cheap music you can download from multiple sites.  Basically Russian laws are different than American laws.  Now it is definitely debateable whether or not this is entirely legal in the United States, but court cases trying to shut down these sites or saying it is illegal have failed.  Now when I say cheap I’m talking $2 an album.  There have been a few sites that have been really popular that have been forced to either shut down or take away certain payment options, which is really just a way to get around not having to deal with constant court cases.

Here’s my point:  There are two sites that I currently use.  The first is offering a bonus for friends referred and its pretty significant, especially when you are talking $2 an album.  The second has a slightly smaller catalogue of albums, but archives all of your purchases in case you ever have a hard drive crash or something similarly catastrophic.  I would recommend either, but seeing as how it’ll be easy for you to refer friends as well and benefit with free money to download music with I would recommend the first site.  Simply click on any of the links to the first site and sign up in order for me to get credit or not I suppose, but as long as you’re signing up you might as well help somebody out with some free music :)
