That humorous quote from the movie Napoleon Dynamite begs a question:  If you had a time machine what would you do??  I find something very, very wrong with this question.  I am almost always tired and looking forward to my next day or days of rest.  If I were to go back in time I would not try to take state or be in more musicals.  I’d probably just sit around, watch a ton of movies, and relax.

Seriously.  If you want a time machine to go back and do more things you need to check yourself.  I am almost certain if I had a time machine and attempted to do more in my past I would constantly be traveling back and forth after remembering and wishing I could have done more.  It also pretty much says you are not really happy with life and wish you could change it…that you wish for escape.  I think wishing for escape is a completely natural feeling, but so much so that you wish you could change the past???  Not sure.  I think the question of a time machine breeds more and more discontentment with the present and a loathing of the future as it currently sits ahead.

So in order to completely disregard what I just wrote…If you could go back to a moment in time, event, etc. what would it be and why??  (Doesn’t involve changing anything.  Kind of a look back with any tampering.)
